Course Objectives and Benefits
This course is intended to provide participants with an understanding of negotiation principles and techniques specific to shore and ship-based personnel in shipowning, operating and management companies. These principles can be applied in common management, leadership and inter-department situations and conflicts and account for personal and group behavior patterns that encourage positive results. The brainstorming process can increase the understanding among members of a team or departments, as well as the efficiency and productivity of a team, a group and a company. Both principles can be applied in-shore and onboard situations, from minor personal disputes to major corporate decisions.
