Emphasis is placed on the creation of an internal audit program, selection and training of auditors, execution of an audit plan, questioning techniques and communications, determination of the effectiveness of an Environmental Management Standard (EMS) as well as proper implementation of an EMS and the continual improvement process for maritime companies. This course contains interactive case studies to enhance understanding in a marine context.
